Christy Gordon For Magistrate District 4

Hello friends. My name is Christy Gordon, and I want to be your district 4 magistrate.

Hardin County is home to families, small businesses, farmers, educators, and a strong military community, and I believe every resident deserves leadership that listens and shows up.

We live, work, and serve right here in Hardin County.  We don't just live in this community, it's where we go to be home. Hardin County raised my family, built my business and provided opportunities to serve on numerous boards, non-profits and community programs.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a mom, a business owner, and a community leader who has walked through life’s challenges with faith, grit, and determination. I know what it feels like to start over, to rebuild, and to fight for a better future. Those experiences are what allow me to lead with empathy, courage, and a deep understanding of the people I serve.

My Vision....

My vision for District 4 is built on four simple principles: Commitment, Community, Connection, and Change.

Commitment means following through, not just making promises, but seeing the work through until it’s complete.

Community means recognizing the strength of Hardin County and making sure every resident feels included, valued, and represented.

Connection means listening first and being accessible, because our county deserves leadership that knows its people and earns their trust. I believe leadership works best when it stays with the people not above them.

Change means being willing to adjust what isn’t working, improve efficiency, and make thoughtful decisions that move our district forward.

How I'll Serve District 4...

Commitment... Following Through

Attending Fiscal Court meetings and work sessions consistently and prepared

Asking clear questions to ensure county projects are realistic, funded, and accountable

Supporting transparency so residents can understand timelines and outcomes

Community... Putting People First

Listening to residents across District 4 through consistent, ongoing engagement.

Staying engaged with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations

Making decisions with families, neighborhoods, and small businesses in mind

Connection... Accessible Leadership

Being approachable and responsive to residents

Encouraging open conversation about county issues

Making sure concerns are heard before decisions are made

Change... Thoughtful Progress

Evaluating what’s working and what isn’t

Asking better questions before votes are taken

Supporting efficient, responsible use of county resources

Why me....

As magistrate, I will manage county resources responsibly, support our first responders and public works, and prioritize transparency so you always know how your local government is working for you.

I’m Christy Gordon, and I’m ready to serve District 4 with consistency, accountability, and heart. Together, we can build a stronger future for our community.

My Priorities

Support for First Responders

Our firefighters, EMS, and law enforcement serve our community every day under challenging conditions. As magistrate, I will advocate for responsible funding, training, and resources that allow first responders to do their jobs safely and effectively because public safety is a foundational responsibility of county government.

Responsible Growth

Hardin County is growing, and growth must be managed thoughtfully. I will support planning and infrastructure decisions that balance development with community values, protect existing neighborhoods, and prepare our roads and services for the future.

Transparency & Accountability

Local government works best when residents understand how decisions are made. I am committed to open communication, clear decision-making, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars so our community can trust that resources are being used wisely.

Professionalism in Leadership

Strong communities are built by leaders who work together respectfully and stay focused on solutions. I believe professionalism, civility, and collaboration are essential to effective governance. When diverse perspectives are welcomed and decisions are made with care, our Fiscal Court is better equipped to serve the entire community.
